“He has a remarkable ability to see through a child’s eyes... the Judy Blume of kiddie rock” — New York Times
“Hands down the best songwriter in the genre.” — USA Today
Bodies spring to their feet and rush the stage; jumping, dancing and bouncing off each other like bumper cars. The concertgoers behave like children. This should come as no surprise, because they are children, participating in the kiddie mosh pit found at nearly every Justin Roberts concert.
Our special friend Justin Roberts will be here for Books & Stars 7 pm Wednesday evening at Central Park. His concert here is a very special treat, thanks to the Friends & Foundation of the Library and a Minnesota Legacy Grant for making it possible. Also joining the festivities will be the Cocoa Bean serving their yummy Hawaiian Shaved Ice and new, this year members of the Northfield Union of Youth will be selling their fluffy cotton candy. Both items sell for $2 and some of the proceeds will be donated to children's programs at the library. Booker, the book bus opens at 6:30- and opens again after the show.
Bring a lawn chair or a blanket to Central Park and enjoy a very special evening. In case of inclement weather(- but it NEVER rains on Justin at Books & Stars-) is the Odd Fellow's Park shelter. For info please check at back here or call the library 645-6606.
