Our 2nd Minnesota History Player Harriet Bishop told us about the early days of public school teaching!
She came to St. Paul in 1847 and was the first public school teacher in St. Paul. Her students spoke Ojibwe, French and a little English!
Women's underwear was a bit larger than it is today! And many parts of their clothing tied on and were easily removed to be washed or repaired. |
She took 7 modes of 1847 transportation to get to "Pigs Eye Landing" but luckily recently renamed St. Paul.
The challenge for the LEGO CLUB was to build a flat design.
They had to use bases and could only build up a couple of tiles- look what they came up with!
