Cool off with some fine Brazilian music with Xibaba at Spring Creek Park! Books & Stars begins at 7 pm.

Xibaba (she-BA-ba) is a band that plays vocal and instrumental music of Brazil for listening and dancing.  Selections range from popular bossa novas and sambas to dance music from the Northeastern part of Brazil, to Brazilian jazz (Hermeto Pascoal, Airto Moeira, Egberto Gismonte, etc.).  Instruments include unique Brazilian instruments such as the pifano (a Brazilian flute), the berimbau ( a single-stringed instrument), pandeiro, ripique, caixa, tambourim, etc. (Brazilian percussion).

Please note! Spring Creek Park is by the new soccer fields along Jefferson Parkway right by "Everybody's Park"
Booker the book bus opens at 6:30.  The Cocoa Bean will be there to sell their Hawaiian Shaved Ice. 
Maria's Taco Hut will NOT be there due to her commitment at the Rice County Fair. She will be back for the last Books & Stars on July 27th.
